How to Obtain Service
Residential Customers
All residential accounts requires a natural gas deposit of $125, water deposit of $25, and a garbage deposit of $25, for all new homeowners and renters. These deposits are only refundable after the final bill amount is paid in full. All current homeowners and renters at their current location as of April 30, 2017, will be grandfathered in and not required to pay a deposit. Should they move to a new location, a deposit will be required.
A valid government issued identification card is required to set up or transfer services.
Commercial Customers
All commercial gas accounts with West Baton Rouge Parish Natural Gas System, shall be required to pay an initial deposit of $200. After first year of usage by the commercial customer, a review is made of their gas bills for that period of time. The deposit amount will then increase to approximately the total amount of their highest utility bill for two months usage.
Example: If your highest utility bill for one month equals $200, your deposit shall be $400. This deposit can be accomplished in one of three ways:
- Bank Letter of Credit
- Bond-Payable to West Baton Rouge Parish Natural Gas and Water Systems
- Cash Deposit

Drive Through Window
Someone is in the office during the lunch hour to answer the phone and assist customers at the drive-thru window only. There is a drive-thru window located on the side of the building as a convenience for our customers. You must have your current and complete bill to pay at this window.
